Terri Lawrenz was born in Redwood Falls, MN. She grew up on a farm in Redwood County with her parents, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Some of the highlights from her childhood include going to her grandparents to play 'king in the corner', butchering chickens, spending time with the animals on the farm, playing with the neighbor kids, going fishing with her father and brothers, babysitting her nephews, going camping and fishing with her cousins, aunt and uncle, and going shopping with her mom, and of course in her teen years, partying and spending time with friends, especially her best friend, Trish.
Lawrenz graduated from Wabasso High School in 1990 with simple dreams in life....which included being a stay at home mom. She was a licensed family child care professional for 9 years as her children were young, and as they aged, she felt the need to look for a different kind of work that would offer her more flexibility and less commitment. She paged through the Marshall Independent looking for a side job that would get her out of the house a bit but would still allow her to be active in her childrens activities. She came across an ad for a health and beauty product prpmoter. Previously having had a sideline business as a beauty consultant, she was interested and dialed the number. It was a modeling and talent agency. The rest is history.
It was shortly after being accepted into Image One Modeling and Talent Agency that her first television commercial job came in, and from there, the work started pouring in. Within the first few months, she was modeling and acting full-time.
Since 2005, Lawrenz has accumulated a very impressive modeling and acting resume. As a matter of fact, her face has appeared on TV sets across the country on numerous occasions, and she has shared the live stage many times with names such as Donald Trump, Tony Robbins, George Foreman, Robert Kiyosaki, and Magic Johnson. She has interviewed dozens of celebrities in person, including Neal McCoy, 38 Special, Firehouse, Dokken, Marty Casey, LA Guns, Faster Pussycat,(Taime Downe) Vicky Lawrence, Huey, Jackyl, Slaughter, Diamond Rio, Ratt (with Steven Pearcy), Great White, Michael Winslow, Williams and Ree, Aaron Tippin, Rob Van Dam, Erin Moran, Drew Hastings, Jimmy Pardo, Terry Fator, Patti Vasquez, Chick McGee, Tim Wilson, Loverboy/Mike Reno, Greg Morton, and many others! She has appeared in numerous television commercials across the country, print ads, as well as many live appearances.
Lawrenz's career continues to flourish, with her hit television show "Out N About With Terri N Todd". Lawrenz created the idea for the show in 2006 and in 2007 the show became a reality and popularity has risen to amazing levels, quickly making her face easily recognizable in South Dakota, North Dakota and Minnesota, the states in which her electiric and energetic, yet "small town girl" personality penetrates television screens.
Her future is bright, with her latest television series for South Dakota Public Broadcasting in which she hosts, called Nature Adventures. The series airs Sundays at 5:30 pm on SDPB and will be available to schools worldwide as an educational tool, and also online, to those wishing to learn about all aspects of nature in South Dakota.
Lawrenz' diverse talents have brought her much success. Although success is only found through commitment and hard work. Thankful for her upbringing and background, hard work is something Lawrenz is not afraid of.
